Eta Zeta, Zeta Phi Beta 2020 Spotlight Award Nominee for Icon:  Saundra Cloverdale-King

 Soror Coverdale-King is the type of person who exemplifies “If there is something that needs to be done, and if it is something she can do, she will”​

Soror Coverdale-King helps prepare food for events such as the Chapter’s March of Dimes Baby Shower.  

She’s a creative person who loves to sew. She has made wreaths to decorate Norton Hospital’s ICU area where chapter members prepared a meal for the families of March of Dimes preemie babies.

She joined Eta Zeta in 1983, with encouragement from Aunt Jean McCary (a Zeta), her grandmother (an Amicae) and Soror Lizzie Miller, who was their close friend.

She has served as Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer.  Currently, she serves on the Founders’ Day/Finer Womanhood, March of Dimes Baby Shower and ZHOPE committees.
