Alberta O. Jones

Independent Black Voter Association

Our Triumphant Soror Alberta Odell Jones, a member of Eta Zeta, was an advocate for African American voters. She created the Independent Voters Association, and this association assisted 6,000 African Americans to register to vote. Sadly, on August 5, 1965, Alberta was murdered. Her murder remains unsolved.

To celebrate her life and legacy, we must continue to ensure African Americans vote. Lets make her proud.
